Low cost carrier Spicejet has launched flights to Jeddah – which will be the airlines first destination in Saudi Arabia and ninth International destinations and will connect Hyderabad to Jeddah. The flights would operate Daily at below timings and will be effective 25th March 2019.

Jeddah is the busiest airport in Saudi Arabia and is known for its Hajj terminal. The city if the commercial capital of Saudi Arabia and second largest city with the capital – Riyadh being the largest city.
Hyderabad has been growing rapidly in the last few years, on the back of availability of capacity unlike other airports in the region. The airport recently built an interim International terminal to shift the check-in, security and immigration process to a different building to help tide over the paucity of space. This will be the second international flight from Hyderabad for Spicejet. The airline already operates to Bangkok. The airline has been steadily receiving B737MAX8 aircraft in its fleet and has 12 as of end of January.
India – Saudi Arabia Bilateral Air Services Agreement has a cap on frequency and seats, with the operators from Saudi Arabia (Saudia, Flynas) utilizing all the available capacity from Saudi side. India has agreed for an automatic increase of seats under the Bilateral Air Services Agreement, when the Indian side utilized 80% of the capacity and this number could be reached soon with the low cost carriers looking to expand aggressively on the international front.
