Hyderabad has been growing rapidly in the last few years, on the back of availability of capacity unlike other airports in the region. This will be the second international flight from Hyderabad for Spicejet. The airline already operates to Bangkok. India – Saudi Arabia Bilateral Air Services Agreement has a cap on frequency and seats, with the operators from Saudi Arabia (Saudia, Flynas) utilizing all the available capacity from Saudi side. India has agreed for an automatic increase of seats under the Bilateral Air Services Agreement, when the Indian side utilized 80% of the capacity and this number could be reached soon with the low cost carriers looking to expand aggressively on the international front.
