The airline has been allotted rights to fly Daily to Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Dammam from Kannur. The latest greenfield airport in India – Kannur, is making it big with operations from AirIndia Express, GoAir and IndiGo increasing rapidly opening new routes.
Abu Dhabi is the capital of United Arab Emirates and the airport serves as a hub for Etihad – which owns stake in Jet Airways of India, currently in financial distress. With GoAir being a late entrant on the international scene, places like Abu Dhabi help the airline get allotment under bilateral agreements, most of which are nearing capacity after flights from Air India, IndiGo and Spicejet in the Gulf.
