Air India, the TATA SIA joint venture unveiled a new collection of amenity kits and loungewear for guests travelling on its international flights. The collection is thoughtfully designed in collaboration with Forest Essentials to enhance comfort while celebrating India’s artistic heritage. Launching from October 2026, it blends traditional craftsmanship, indigenous art forms and wellness-inspired touches with contemporary design, reflecting Air India’s commitment to creating a more distinctive and elevated travel experience. The amenity kits combine these artistic influences with Forest Essentials’ philosophy of luxury ayurveda, incorporating its skincare and fragrance into the offering. These reimagined collectible amenity kits and loungewear will be available on all flights exceeding eight hours and on overnight flights above six hours, bringing a touch of Indian hospitality to guests across the airline’s global network. Air India will discontinue Tumi in favor of Forest Essentials.
In First Class, Air India’s new amenity kits form part of The Art of Flight collection, drawing inspiration from the timeless tradition of Gond art. Each kit features original artwork created exclusively for Air India by acclaimed Gond artist Dwarka Paraste, with motifs that embody nature, movement and the spirit of discovery. The outbound and inbound journeys will be complimented with distinct designs and colour palates with Ivory Cream kits offered on flights departing India and Antique White kits on flights arriving in the country. The artwork and the colour palate will be refreshed every six months, to evolve into a collectible series over time, transforming each kit into a keepsake of the journey.
Complementing the design, the kit features a curated selection of Ayurvedic-inspired skincare and fragrance from Forest Essentials, presented in an elegant satin pouch. First Class guests can enjoy an exclusive range that includes a Light Day Lotion with SPF 30 and a Facial Tonic Mist, alongside Lip Cream, Ultra-Rich Body Milk and intense perfume. The experience is complemented by thoughtfully selected travel essentials, including socks, an eye mask, ear plugs, a dental kit, a hair tie, and a story card that brings the artwork and its inspiration to life.

Guests travelling in Business Class will receive amenity kits from the Navratna Collection, inspired by the Navratna or nine gems of Indian tradition and interpreted through a vibrant palate of nine distinctive colours. Presented in Air India’s signature Jharoka-shaped bag crafted in premium PU leather, the kits are offered in Coral on flights departing India and Ruby on flights arriving in the country, adding an element of discovery to each journey. Inside, guests will find a curated selection of Ayurvedic-inspired skincare by Forest Essentials, including Lip Cream, Ultra-Rich Body Milk and intense perfume, elegantly presented in a satin pouch. The kit is complemented by thoughtfully chosen travel essentials, including socks, an eye mask, ear plugs, a dental kit, a hair tie and a story card.

Both First and Business Class guests will also receive a handcrafted Ayurvedic Marma massager, a first-of-its-kind inclusion in an airline amenity kit. Made from 100% natural wood, the massager draws on the ancient Ayurvedic practice of stimulating Marma points to promote relaxation and wellbeing during travel. Accompanied by a dedicated story card, it offers guests an opportunity to engage with a centuries-old Indian wellness tradition while in the air.
In Premium Economy, the refreshed amenity kit will combine practical comfort with thoughtful design. The kit is designed in a versatile Air India-branded bag created for continued use beyond the journey and features a hand cream and lip balm by The Indian Apothecary, alongside socks, an eye mask and a story card, offering guests a simple yet elevated travel experience.
Loungewear: Honouring India’s rich textile traditions
Alongside the new amenity kits, Air India is introducing thoughtfully designed loungewear for guests travelling in First and Business Class, bringing a touch of Indian craftsmanship to journeys. Inspired by the rich textile heritage of Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu craft and its celebrated shawl-weaving tradition, the loungewear reinterprets the craft’s distinctive geometric motifs through subtle woven detailing. Featured on the placket and hem of a contemporary Henley-style top and echoed on the drawstring and side placket of the bottoms, the design offers a refined expression of Indian artistry rather than an overt decorative statement. It is designed in a soft, comfortable fabric for long-haul travel, the gender-neutral collection pairs understated Air India branding with a relaxed silhouette that ensures comfort both onboard and beyond the journey. Available in four sizes, including a newly introduced XXL, each set is presented in a bespoke carry bag and accompanied by a story card that celebrates the heritage and craftsmanship behind the Kullu tradition. The airline has also revised the colour of the carpet slippers from an existing grey to beige to complement the colour palate of the loungewear.
