Phuket is the third busiest airport in Thailand and the island is popular amongst tourists from India. Thailand offers visa on arrival for Indians. GoAir has plans of offering services to Phuket from more Indian cities and the liberal bilateral between points in India and Phuket would allow both Go Air and IndiGo to add flights.

The passenger is the beneficiary in the competition with flights to Phuket being available much cheaper than those to Bangkok for future bookings.
