National carrier Air India has opened reservation for twice weekly flights to Najaf from New Delhi. The flights would operate at below timings

The flights are effective 14th February, leaving with very limited notice for filling up the aircraft. Schedule entry shows the flights being operated by A321 aircraft. The flight will connect very well to Lucknow – which is expected to be the main market for Najaf.
This will be the airline’s first destination in Iraq. Najaf is of religious importance and is located 160kms south of Baghdad. The airport re-opened in 2008 after the US-Iraq war and sees service from many carriers now, notably amongst them Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Gulf Air and Qatar Airways.
